DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today met Ameer of Bangladesh Islami Andolan, Pir of Charmonai, Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim.

The BNP Chairman went to the residence of Pir of Charmonai Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim on Siddheswari Road in the capital's Ramna area along with party leaders for the meeting at 7:15 pm. 

On this occasion, Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim welcomed Tarique Rahman with flowers. During the meeting, they also exchanged pleasantries.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir,  BNP Chairman's Press Secretary Saleh Shibly and Nayeb-e-Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, were present during the meeting.

Tarique Rahman left Syed Rezaul Karim’s residence at 7:54 pm.

Earlier, Tarique Rahman left Gulshan at 6:30 pm to pay the visit.

Prior to this, yesterday (Sunday) evening, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the residences of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and NCP Convener Nahid Islam.
