PM asks party men to assist law enforcers in maintaining peace, order

DHAKA, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today urged his party leaders and activists to assist the local administration and the law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order across the country.

He made the call while addressing Bogura district BNP leaders and activists at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban after oath taking ceremony of two newly elected members of parliament (MPs) from Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3 constituencies, said Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.  

Stressing the importance of ensuring peace and stability their respective areas, the premier said, "If anyone engages in activities that disrupt peace, it is your responsibility to inform the law enforcement agencies. Don't take the law in your own hands".

The Prime Minister emphasised that development of the localities and maintaining law and order must continue at any cost.
