Maritime ports advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 3

DHAKA, April 28, 2026 (BSS) - The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three due to a steep pressure gradient over the North Bay and adjoining areas.

In an alert issued today, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) asked all fishing boats and trawlers operating over the North Bay to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
