President leaves Thakurgaon for Dhaka

THAKURGAON, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS)- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir left here this afternoon for Dhaka after completing his two-day hometown visit.

During his visit, the President joined different programmes including offering prayers to his parents' graves, attending a civic reception and laying foundation stone of Thakurgaon University.

Earlier, he arrived in Thakurgaon on Sunday, marking the first-ever visit outside Dhaka after assuming his office.
