Met office forecasts mainly dry weather over country

DHAKA, Jan 5, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that weather may remain dry over the country for the next 24 hours, beginning this morning. 

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", said the forecast which begins at 9am.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to Northeast Bay.

Moderate to dense fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to dense fog.

Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 29.2 degrees celsius at Srimangal and minimum temperature today was recorded 09.7 degrees celsius at Tetulia.

The sun set today at 05:26pm and rise tomorrow at 06:43am in the capital.
