DHAKA, Jan 26, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 33 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, four patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, six in Chattogram, six in Dhaka, four in Dhaka North, eight in Dhaka South, one in Mymensingh, one in Sylhet and three were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of dengue case rose to 1,054 while nine deaths from the disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
