Fire breaks out in Mirpur slums, no casualty report so far

DHAKA, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) – Fire broke out at Tekpara slums of Mirpur-14 during early hours today but no causalities were reported so far due to fire.

The fire broke out  at 1.15am, but the fire services were able to bring it  under control immediately.

“We received the news of fire at 1.22am and two fire fighting units were able to bring the fire under control at 1.48am”, said duty officer Rakibul Hasan of the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense.

The fire likely erupted from electric short circuit. No causalities were reported due to fire, he added.
