Dry weather likely

DHAKA, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in next 24-hour as of 9am tomorrow.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur over the country during late night to early morning," said a BMD bulletin this morning.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar and Chuadanga and it may continue, the bulletin added.

Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 31.6 degree Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram Division and today's minimum temperature 8.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Srimangal in Sylhet Division.

The sun sets at 5.49 pm today and rises at 6.35 am tomorrow in the capital.
