Everyone should have ID card to enter SC

DHAKA, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Everyone should have identity cards to enter  the Supreme Court of Bangladesh for ensuring overall safety and security of the apex court, official sources said here today.

A circular in this regard signed by Muhammad Habibur Rahman, Registrar of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, today said that all concerned including lawyers, their assistants, justice seekers and officers and employees of the apex court would have to preserve their identity cards.

Everyone including the lawyers, their assistants, justice seekers and officials and employees of the Supreme Court would have to keep their identity cards while entering the apex court for ensuring its overall safety and security. 

All concerned have been requested to show their national identity cards, passports or official identity cards to the law enforcing agencies deployed there to ensure safety and security of the Supreme Court, the circular added.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court authorities have taken additional security measures of the apex court today. Military personnel, members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), RAB and police forces have taken their positions at main gates and the court premises since this morning.
