DHAKA, Feb 08, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died while eight others were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, one patient was hospitalized in Khulna, one in Mymensingh, three in Dhaka North city while three were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here.

The total number of case rose to 1,258 while 11 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
