DHAKA, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Police in separate raids on Friday and Saturday arrested four former police officers including a Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

The arrestees are - ex-DIG Molla Nazrul Islam and former Superintendents of police (SPs) Asaduzzaman, Abdul Mannan and Abul Hasnat. 

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam confirmed the arrest to BSS tonight.

The arrestees, who were accused in multiple cases, have been taken to the Detective Branch (DB) of police headquarters here, he said.
