Met office forecasts mainly dry weather over country

DHAKA, Feb 9, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted that weather may remain dry over the country for the next 24 hours beginning this morning.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", said the forecast beginning 9am today.

 A mild cold wave is sweeping over Rajshahi & Moulvibazar and it may abate.

A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and the adjoining western part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Light to moderate fog may occur over the country during late night to early morning.

Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 30.8 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded 08.5 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.

Wind direction and speed at Dhaka: West/Northwesterly (06-12) kph.

The sun sets today at 05:50 pm and rises tomorrow at 06:35 am.
