DMP files 1742 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1742 cases in three days across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines in last one day through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

During the drive, a total of 222 vehicles were impounded and 42 others towed.

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
