Youth Summit held at HSTU

DINAJPUR, March 2, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long Youth Summit was held today at Dinajpur Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU). 

The Youth Summit was organized by the Skill Development Club of HSTU from 10 am to 2 pm, said Md. Khademul Islam, director of Public Relations Department, HSTU. 

The main theme of the summit was to make progress in creating 'Policy and Leadership' for the youth. 

Various sessions were organized in the summit on policy recommendations and results, leadership and problem solving. In particular, six important issues were discussed - education, health, climate change, migration, democracy and youth politics. 

At the end of the session, participants participated in group presentations and open discussions on these topics. 

The participating students said the summit has taught them to think deeply about the importance of policymaking and leadership. Through discussions and group work on various issues including education, health, climate change, they have been able to find practical solutions, they said. 

This has increased their thinking power and problem-solving skills, which will be useful for young people like them in the future in leadership, the students said.

In this regard, the club's president Md. Rafiqul Islam Rakib said, "We, the youth, are the future of the country, and it is very important to be aware of policymaking and leadership to build the future".
