DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was hospitalised in city's United Hospital on Sunday after falling ill.

The BNP secretary general had been feeling unwell for the past two days, with his condition worsening following his visit to the Suhrawardy Udyan book fair last week, BNP media wing official Shairul Kabir Sayrul told reporters.

In an update this morning, Sayrul confirmed that Fakhrul is now feeling much better and in stable condition.

The doctors and Fakhrul's family have asked the people to avoid unnecessary gathering at the hospital.

The party men have been requested to keep him in their prayers for his quick recovery.
