Sirens sound in Myanmar to start minute's silence for quake victims: AFP

MANDALAY, Myanmar, April 1, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Myanmar held a minute's silence on Tuesday to honour the victims of a devastating earthquake that has killed more than 2,000 people.

Sirens rang out at precisely 12:51:02 (0621 GMT), the time the 7.7-magnitude quake struck on Friday centred near Mandalay, the country's second-largest city.
