Mild heat wave sweeping 7 dists: Met office

DHAKA, April 5, 2025 (BSS) - Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Khulna, Bagerhat, Patuakhali and
Rangamati and it may continue, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's (BMD) latest weather bulletin today.

"Rain/thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," the release said.

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 38.2 degree Celsius at Bagabari in Rajshahi Division while today's minimum temperature 17.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Dimla in Rangpur Division, the release also said.

Today's sunset at 06.16pm while tomorrow's sunrise at 05:46am in the capital.
