Govt working to eliminate discrimination in health sector: Sayedur

DHAKA, April 17, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman today said that the government is working to eliminate all kinds of discrimination in the health sector.

“We want to end discrimination in the health sector. For this, we will promote more direct investment in the sector,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the three-day Dhaka International Diagnostic Medical Equipment Expo-2025 at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in the city.

For the first time in the country, Dhaka International Diagnostic Medical Equipment Expo -2025 is being held on a large scale from April 17-19 at Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Center here.

Sayedur Rahman acknowledged the contribution of the private sector in the country's health sector saying, “It is time to focus on medical care … we want to ensure all kinds of cooperation for the development of health sector.”
