390 arrested in joint forces' drives from 10-17 April

DHAKA, April 18, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces, including different units of infantry divisions and independent brigades of Bangladesh Army, in separate raids have arrested 390 criminals across the country and recovered a huge number of arms and ammunition, sharp weapons and different drugs from their possessions.

"A total of 390 criminals, including listed terrorists, robbers, extortionists, fugitive accused, muggers, teen gang members, drug traders and drug addicts, were arrested in the drives. Ten illegal weapons, 46 ammunitions, different types of drugs, local-made weapons, snatched mobile phones and laptops, foreign currencies and cash were recovered from their possessions," said a post published on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Army.

The sources said the arrestees were handed over to concerned police stations after primary interrogations.

Apart from these, Bangladesh Army units carried out patrolling and conducted safety activities across the country marking the Pahela Baishakh. They also provided overall security following some untoward incidents like vandalizing and looting of different business centres.
