Chinese delegation meets BNP

DHAKA, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - A visiting delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) today held a meeting with BNP at a Gulshan hotel in this evening.

A seven-member delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir joined the meeting.

The other members of the delegation were party standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Ismail Zabiullah, party legal affairs secretary Barrister Kaiser Kamal, BNP Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Humayun Kabir, BNP Media Cell member Mahmuda Habiba and BNP Chairperson's private secretary and retired bureaucrat ABM Abdus Sattar.

On the other hand, an eight-member delegation led by Peng Jiubin of the Southeast and South Asian Affairs Bureau of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China participated in the meeting.

Others in the delegation were Chen Xuanbo, Deputy Director of the Southeast and South Asian Affairs Bureau of the IDCPC, Chen Yangpei, Third Secretary of the Southeast and South Asian Affairs Bureau, Zhang Guiyu of the IDCPC Bureau for Southeast and South Asian Affairs, Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen, Director of the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Zhang Jing, and Liu Hongru, Attach, to the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

Earlier, Bangladesh Jatiya Dal Chairman Syed Ehsanul Huda met with Peng Jiubin of the Southeast and South Asian Affairs Bureau of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee at the same place.
