Multidimensional research, innovation can enrich language, literature: Bangla Academy DG

DHAKA, April 28, 2025 (BSS) – Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam today said by fostering new researchers and diverse research, Bangla language, literature and other fields of knowledge can be enriched with the latest ideas and innovations.

“If the country’s talented and dynamic youth engage in this research effectively, it will elevate our research standards to new heights,” he said as the chief guest during the agreement signing ceremony with 50 selected researchers for three-month research-essay proposals, held at the Shaheed Munir Chowdhury conference room of the Bangla Academy today.

Professor Azam noted this research-proposal project initiative continues Bangla Academy’s long-standing tradition of research.

Academy Secretary Dr Md Selim Reza mentioned that the Bangla Academy’s research project has generated significant enthusiasm among researchers across the country. 

He expressed confidence that the selected researchers would complete their works perfectly and within the designated time frame.

Academy Director (Current Charge) Dr Sarkar Amin highlighted Bangla Academy is primarily a research-focused institution, expressing hope that the selected researchers will carry forward new research trends and contribute to the enrichment of the Bangla language and research.

The event was moderated by Bangla Academy Deputy Director Dr Simon Zakaria.
