KHULNA, April 28, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Md. Rezaul Karim today said the use of modern technology and advanced methods is essential for quality research.

The developed world is increasingly emphasizing multidimensional cooperation in research. We, too, must form multiple research teams and engage in collaborative research for the country's progress, he said while inaugurating a workshop on research methodology at the lecture theatre of the Urban, Rural and Planning (URP) Discipline on the campus.

URP Discipline and the Social Science Research Council of the Planning Ministry jointly organized the training programme.

Prof Reza said the training must be feedback-based and practically relevant.

He demanded increase of budget allocation in education.

Dr. Sadia Sharmin, Joint Secretary of the Social Science Research Council under the Planning Ministry of Planning, virtually joined the programme.

Faculties of various disciplines attended the workshop.
