DHAKA, April 29, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over parts of the country in the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00am today.

"Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a BMD bulletin this morning.
 
Weatherman Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik predicted day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature 36.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Koyra in Khulna division and Patuakhali in Barisal division on Monday and the lowest temperature 19.4 degrees Celsius has been recorded at Sayedpur in Rangpur division today.

The sun will set at 6:26pm today and will rise at 5:25am tomorrow in the capital.
