Info ministry denies report on banning Deepto TV’s news broadcast

DHAKA, April 29, 2025 (BSS) – Adviser of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting M. Mahfuz Alam today denied a report that the government banned the news broadcast of the private Deepto TV channel.

“The government has not stopped the news programme of the Deepto TV,” the ministry in a statement quoted the adviser as saying at a function of itself.

Alam added: “It is an internal decision of the Deepto TV authority.”
