BASIS executive committee member Nigar Sultana said the 'Korea Desk' will facilitate business matchmaking between companies from both nations, provide market information, and help Bangladeshi firms explore South Korea's technology market.

Edward Kim, chairman of the newly formed desk, said it would help position Bangladesh as an attractive IT outsourcing destination for Korean companies.

ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury highlighted South Korea's advanced digital infrastructure as a model for Bangladesh to follow. "Our young, tech-savvy workforce can greatly benefit from this partnership and turn the country into a new IT hub in the region," he added.
