DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) today called upon the owners of the readymade garment (RMG) to pay the Eid bonus of the workers within May and salary by June 3.
"The (Eid) bonus of the RMG workers have to be paid within May and salary from June 1 to 3," he said.
He was speaking to journalists after emerging from a meeting on the law and order ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha at his ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here.
The Home Adviser called upon the owners to realise the rational demands of the workers.
He has also sounded a note of warning that strict legal action will be taken if anyone takes to the streets without logical demands.
