JENAIDAH, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS)- A motor biker was killed as a truck ran over the bike at Kaliganj here tonight.

The accident took place at Patibila Battola area of Kaliganj-Kotchadpur road at 8.30pm.

The biker was identified as Rafique Reza, 38, son of Nabi Newaj of Habibpur village of Shailkupa Upazila. He was working at Maheshpur land office.

Police said Rafique Reza and his colleague Nuruzzaman were returning to Kaliganj from Maheshpur on a motorbike. Suddenly they fell on the road when their motorbike wheel slipped on the sand mass and immediately after a truck ran over them. 

Rafique Reza was killed on the spot while Nuruzzaman received critical injuries. He was rushed to Kaliganjupazila health complex.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee, said OC of Kaliganj thana police.
