3 killed in Cumilla road accident

CUMILLA, Nov 10 (BSS) - Three people, including a woman, were killed and five others injured in a road accident in the Felna Kazi Bari area under 
Chauddagram upazila this evening.

Officer-in-Charge of Chauddagram Police Station confirmed the incident, 
saying that police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and carried 
out a rescue operation immediately after the crash.

According to witnesses, a Chauddagram-bound truck from Lakshmipur collided 
head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a battery-run three-wheeler, leaving 
two men and a woman dead on the spot, while five others sustained injuries.

Locals said all the deceased were passengers of the CNG. The process of 
identifying the victims is underway. 

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
