DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today
conducted three separate enforcement drives across the country to investigate
allegations of irregularities in the health, public works, and agriculture
sectors.
According to an ACC press release, a team from the Commission's Head Office
conducted a drive at the Public Works E&M Division-3 under the Directorate of
Public Works following allegations that corrupt officials and contractors had
withdrawn bills without completing assigned work and embezzled government
funds.
The team also investigated a complaint of Taka 1 million bribe demand by an
official, collected related records, and took statements from the
authorities.
In Munshiganj district, another ACC team from the Integrated District Office
conducted a drive at the 250-bed General Hospital following complaints of
harassment in healthcare services, mismanagement, and financial and
administrative irregularities.
During the drive, the team found the hospital environment unhygienic and
poorly managed.
Officials collected tender records of the 2024-25 fiscal year, statements
from employees, and other relevant documents, including attendance and
register books.
In Meherpur district, ACC raided the Meherpur Sadar Upazila Agriculture
Office over allegations of misappropriation of funds allocated for farmers.
The team reviewed financial support distributions for 4,000 farmers under the
summer onion cultivation programme and collected allocation copies,
distribution records, and other financial documents.
A detailed report will be submitted after reviewing the documents obtained
during the drives.
