DHAKA, May 23, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 17 dengue patients were admitted to 
different hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours till this 
morning.

"During the period, 10 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, one 
in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and six in Dhaka South City 
Corporation (DSCC)," said a press release issued by the Directorate General 
of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 3,767 while 23 deaths from the mosquito-
borne disease were reported this year.

During the 24-hour, 17 patients were released from different hospitals across 
the country after receiving treatment.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from 
dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
