July Shaheed Hasan laid to rest in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - Shaheed Md Hasan, a warrior of the July Mass Uprising, was laid to rest at his family graveyard as per his mother's wish in the Tariqullah Samaj area, adjacent to Chewakhali Bazar in Subarnachar upazila of the district this morning.

Prior to the burial, his namaz-e-janaza was held in the area around 9 am.

Deputy Commissioner Khandaker Istiaq Ahmed, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Noakhali District unit Amir Ishaq Khandaker, National Citizen Party (NCP) Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Noakhali unit Convener Ariful Islam, along with several leaders of political and social organisations, were present at the funeral.

Md Hasan was critically injured on August 5, 2024, in Chattogram during the July Mass Uprising. He was initially admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. Later, for advanced treatment, he was taken to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, and subsequently to Payathai Phaholyothin Hospital in the same city.

Hasan passed away at the hospital at 11:10 pm on Thursday while undergoing treatment. He was 25 years old at the time of his death.

His body was brought to Dhaka yesterday at 6 pm by a Bangladesh Biman flight.
