Land services being made people’s friendly through IT-Adviser

DHAKA, May 25, 2025(BSS) - Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder today said that land services of the country are being made people’s friendly by using the Information Technology (IT). 

“The recent technological advancements of the ministry, its reforms programme and achievements have attracted different segments of the society,” he said while taking part a discussion after inaugurating the ‘Land Fair-25’ at the Bhumi Bhaban in the city’s Tejgaon area.

Chaired by Senior Secretary to the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed, the function was addressed, among others, by ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury, Land Reforms Commission Chairman AJM Salahuddin Nagri, Additional Secretaries of the Land Ministry Dr. Md Mahmud Hassan, Sayma Yunus, Md Abdur Rouf, Md Emdadul Haque Chowdhury and Mohammad Faizur Rahman. 

The land adviser said that the satisfaction among the service receivers of land has been increasing gradually due to the use of modern science and Information technology. 

The government has already taken different measures for making the land management more transparent and peoples friendly, he said adding that all the payments including mutation and Khatian services have been made 100 percent online.

The adviser said Taka 10 to Taka 12 crore are being deposited to the government exchequer everyday due to the introduction of online payment system of land development tax.

In this connection, he said that the mobile financing system (MFS) has been added to the land related services.
