Committee reconstituted to review demands of govt employees

     DHAKA, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - The government has reconstituted a standing committee to review and examine various demands, opinions and suggestions of the public employees.

     Additional Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry was made head of the 10-member committee.

     The member secretary of the committee will be the Joint Secretary of the Secretariat and Welfare Department of the Ministry of Public Administration.

     The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this connection. 

     The committee also includes the Joint Secretary (Organization and Management-1 Branch), Joint Secretary (Rules-1 Branch), Joint Secretary (Field Administration, Internal Recruitment and New Recruitment Branch), Joint Secretary (Administration Branch), one each representative of the Cabinet Division, Finance Division, Finance Ministry, Home Ministry, and the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division.

     None of these representatives can be below the rank of Joint Secretary.

     The committee has been entrusted with examining the reasonable demands of the government employees and giving their opinions and recommendations. 

     The committee will meet once a month and, if necessary, may exchange views with a suitable number of representatives of the employees.

     The committee can also co-opt members if necessary.
