DHAKA, May 25, 2025 (BSS) – National University (NU) today paid tribute to the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on the occasion of his 126th birth anniversary.

To mark the day, on behalf of the NU Vice-Chancellor, Pro-VC Prof Md. Lutfor Rahman laid a floral wreath on the national poet’s grave beside the Dhaka University Central Mosque at 7am, said a university press release.

Following the floral tribute, a moment of silence was observed.

Faculty Deans (acting), Heads of various departments, teachers, officials and staffs of the university were present at the time.
