DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS) - Seventy eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 41 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 16 in Chattogram, five in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North, eight in Dhaka South, two in Khulna, one in Rajshahi and two were admitted to different hospitals in Mymensingh," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 4,050, while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
