DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 120 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 69 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 11 in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, eight in Dhaka North, 20 in Dhaka South, three in Khulna, one in Mymensingh and five were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.

The total number of case rose to 4,240 while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
