22 new dengue cases reported in 24 hours

DHAKA, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - At least 22 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new cases, seven were reported in Chattogram division, one each in Dhaka and Barishal divisions, six in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and seven in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). 

During the same period, 13 dengue patients were discharged after receiving treatment.

Since January 1, the country has recorded 4,345 dengue cases and 23 deaths. 

Last year, Bangladesh reported 1,01,214 cases and 575 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease.
