62 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, June 5, 2025 (BSS) – Sixty-two dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, 50 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, two in Chattogram, six in Dhaka North, one in Mymensingh, one in Rangpur and two were admitted to different hospitals in Sylhet,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 4,616 while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Besides, 67 dengue patients were released from different hospitals in the last 24 hours.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
