Five new Covid-19 cases reported in country

DHAKA, June 9, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh reported five new Covid-19 cases out of nine tests conducted in last 24 hours till this morning.

With the new numbers, the country's total Covid-19 caseload rose to 20,51,747, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

It said six people have recovered from Covid-19 in last 24 hours. As a result, the number has reached 20,19,376. No Covid-19-related death was reported during this period.

The official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,500.

The first Covid-19 case was detected in the country on March 8, 2020. Ten days later, on March 18 of the same year, the country reported its first Covid-19 death.
