DHAKA, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - After Eid-ul-Azha vacation, Bangladesh Medical
University (BMU) today resumed its full operations.
Offices, including those at BMU, reopened after a period of reduced activity
during the 10-day Eid vacation while some activities like specialized
consultation services were suspended during the holidays, a BMU press release
said here today.
Following the reopening, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of BMU Professor Dr Mohammad
Shahidul Alam exchanged Eid greetings with its teachers, students,
physicians, officers, employees and stakeholders from different levels of the
university this morning.
Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr. Md Abul Kalam Azad, Pro-VC (Research and
Development) Prof Dr. Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, Treasurer Prof Dr. Nahrin
Akhtar, Deans of different faculties, Registrar Prof Dr. Md Nazrul Islam,
Proctor Associate Prof Dr. Sheikh Farhad, Director (Hospital) Brigadier
General Abu Noman Mohammad Mosleh Uddin, Director (Planning and Development)
Associate Prof Dr. Erfanul Haque Siddiqui, Director (Finance and Accounts)
Khandaker Shafiqul Hasan, Additional Registrar-1 Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain Tito,
Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Khaled Mahbub Morshed (Mamun) and Additional
Director (Super Specialized Hospital) Dr. Md. Shahidul Hasan were present
while exchanging Eid greetings at the Shaheed Dr Milon Hall on Block-B of the
hospital.
However, the outdoor department of the university (BMU) provided medical care
to 2,440 patients by its resident physicians in three days on June 5, 8 and
11 during the Eid vacation.
The indoor services, emergency service including lab facilities of the
hospital were available for the patients accordingly during the vacations,
the release added.
