One dengue patient dies, 169 hospitalised in last 24hrs

DHAKA, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died and 169 patients have 
been hospitalised in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning. 

"During the period, 101 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 28 
in Chattogram, five in Dhaka division, 16 in Dhaka North City Corporation 
(DNCC) and 19 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South City 
Corporation (DSCC)," said a press release issued by the Directorate General 
of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 5,739 while 29 deaths from dengue, the 
mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 66 dengue patients have been released.
