One dengue patient dies, 352 hospitalised in last 24hrs

DHAKA, June 21, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died and 352 patients have been hospitalised in the country during the last 24 hours till this morning. 

"During the period, 167 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 76 in Chattogram, 15 in Dhaka division, 19 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 43 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), eight in Khulna and 24 were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 7,429 while 31 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 413 dengue patients have been released.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the release added.
