DHAKA, July 2, 2025 (BSS) – The government today declared July 16 as “July Martyrs Day”.

A Cabinet Division in a gazette notification asked all concerned ministries, departments and organizations to observe the day as “July Martyrs Day”.

According to the notification the government decided to include this date as a 'Kha' category day in a list of special dates with national and international relevance.

The same notification scrapped an earlier Cabinet Division circular relating to the observance of the day.
