UNESCO representative meets IGP

DHAKA, 3 July 2025 (BSS) - Senior Project Officer of UNESCO's Section for Freedom of Expression, Division of Freedom of Expression and Media Development, Communication and Information Sector, Mehdi Benchelah, has paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police,Baharul Alam. 

The UNESCO representative met the police chief at the Police Headquarters this morning, said a press release.

During the meeting, the UNESCO representative discussed training to enhance the capacity of Bangladesh Police.

The IGP thanked the UNESCO representative and expressed hope that Bangladesh Police's cooperation with UNESCO will continue.

Relevant officials of Bangladesh Police and UNESCO were present at the time.
