Govt orders observing Aug 5 as ‘July Mass Uprising Day’ Aug 16 as ‘Shaheed Day’

DHAKA, July 3, 2025 (BSS) – The government has instructed all private and public schools and colleges across the country to observe August 5 as the ‘July Mass Uprising Day’ and July 16 as ‘Shaheed Day’ to commemorate the contribution of the July heroes and nurture the spirit against fascism.

Secondary and Higher Secondary Division has issued an order today in this connection.

 The order mentioned that the government has listed August 5 as the ‘Ka’ category days while July 16 has been classified as ‘Kha’ category day by the Cabinet Division.
