Govt providing necessary support to fighter jet crash injured

DHAKA, July 23, 2025(BSS) - Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Rtd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain today said that the government has been providing necessary assistance to the families of the fighter jet crash in Uttara.

A specialized medical team from Singapore has already been arrived in Dhaka and providing latest treatment to the seriously burnt and injured patients, he said.

The adviser made the comments when he visited Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to inquire into the latest condition of the injured people of the jet crash. 

A number of injured students, teachers and the rescue team members are taking treatment at the hospital. The adviser talked to the injured patients and instructed the authorities concerned to ensure the highest medicare services to them. 

He also inquired into the condition of patients who were injured during the last year’s July mass upsurge at that time.

Terming the Uttara aircraft crash as the most painful accident for the whole nation Dr Sakhawat paid rich tributes and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. 

He also expressed deep sympathy to the members of the deceased and injured people and prayed for their early recovery.  He laid emphasis on providing the best treatment facilities to the burnt patients.

All necessary measures would be taken from the government side to prevent such type of accidents in future, the adviser added.

Senior officials of the CMH and specialized physicians were accompanied with the adviser during his visit.
