DHAKA, July 25, 2025 (BSS) - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has said that in this hour of grief, they stand with Bangladesh and mourn every life lost and every family devastated in this week's air force fighter jet crash on Milestone School and College in the capital's Uttara.

"I will be writing to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to express Malaysia's solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh," he said in a message posted on his verified Facebook account.

Among the victims was Maherin Chowdhury, a teacher who rushed her students to safety and valiantly went back into the smoke and flames to save more, said the Malaysian PM, adding that her immense courage will not be forgotten.

"My heart breaks for the people of Bangladesh after learning of the fighter jet crash into a school in Dhaka. Many lives were lost, most of them children. Over a hundred others were injured," the message reads.
