JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, July 24, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former Professor Dr. Khandaker Maudood Elahi of the Geography and Environment Department.

In a condolence message from the United States, the Vice-Chancellor recalled Professor Elahi's significant contributions to the early development of Jahangirnagar University, particularly in teaching, research, and infrastructure growth.

He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Professor Elahi passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Dhaka last night.
