New York consulate pays tribute to aircraft crash victims

DHAKA, July 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the deaths in the jet crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka.

To pay tribute to the victims, the Consulate General opened a book of condolence at its office from July 22 to 24, allowing people to express their sympathy, according to a press release received here today.

A special doa and munajat were offered, praying for the eternal peace of the departed souls and the swift recovery of the injured.

Consul General Mohammad Mozammel Haque, along with officers and staff of the consulate, took part in the special prayers.

"We are deeply shocked by this tragic incident. As a nation, we are saddened. We express our profound grief and pray for all the victims," Haque said, conveying condolences to the bereaved families and injured people.
A separate munajat was also offered, seeking peace and prosperity for Bangladesh.
