Air force organizes special doa mahfil for air craft victims

DHAKA, July 25, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Air Force today organized special doa mahfil at all its air force bases and officers’ mess across the country for eternal peace of the departed souls of all martyrs and sought quick recovery of the injured of the air force fighter jet crash into Milestone School and College on July 21.

The army chief, the Air force chief, Principal Staff Officer (armed forces division), Assistant Navy chief (Operation), former Air Force chiefs, senior officials of the armed forces, family members of deceased Flight Lieutenant M Towkir Islam, hundreds of students and guardians of Milestone School and College attended the doa mahfil, said a ISPR release here today.

During this time, the defense chiefs met with the mourning family members and assured them of providing maximum support to them, if necessary.

Apart from this, special doa mahfil was also held at the base and unit mosques of the Bangladesh Air Force jointly after the Juma prayers for seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of all the martyrs and quick recovery of the injured of the air craft accident.

Earlier, the Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan along with his wife went to Turag in the capital to meet with the family members of the deceased students of Milestone School and College.
